About this webinar

For most of the twentieth century, Gulf oil and gas flowed west. Today the largest buyers are China, India, Japan and Korea, and Gulf producers are investing in Asian refineries, petrochemicals and long-term partnerships. At the same time, Asia is building renewables and nuclear capacity faster than any other region.

This webinar examines an interdependence that runs both ways: Asian growth depends on Gulf supply, and Gulf economies depend on Asian demand. Speakers will discuss energy security for importers, diversification for exporters, and how the transition changes the bargain between them. The session closes by asking how energy revenue is becoming long-term investment, the subject of Webinar 7.
