About this webinar
A large share of the world's oil, gas and container trade passes through three narrow waterways: the Strait of Hormuz, Bab el-Mandeb and the Strait of Malacca. The disruption of Red Sea shipping since 2024 showed how quickly one chokepoint can raise costs worldwide.
In response, governments are investing in pipelines, rail links and new trade corridors, from China–Europe rail and the Middle Corridor to the International North–South Transport Corridor and the India–Middle East–Europe Corridor. This webinar assesses the risks at sea and the alternatives on land, distinguishing corridors that carry freight today from those still on the drawing board.
