About this webinar
For decades, multilateral development finance was dominated by a small number of institutions. Today a borrowing government can approach the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the New Development Bank or the Islamic Development Bank, each with different governance, priorities and conditions. These institutions increasingly co-finance projects as well as compete.
This webinar compares how they work in practice, what borrowing countries gain from greater choice, and how debt sustainability is managed when lenders multiply. Speakers will include voices from development banks and from finance ministries that borrow from them.
