Grassroots Diplomacy

Our grassroots diplomacy programme is for youths between the ages of 10-17. It looks to increase awareness and engagement of youth in international affairs and promote diplomacy as a way of conflict resolution amongst youngsters.

The programme will present:

  • Stories of diplomats in their missions
  • Dilemmas for decision makers are faced with
  • Diversity of work within the foreign service
  • Opportunities created by the work of diplomats

The programme aims to provide role models for youngsters in this field, and emphasises  that the basis of international relations is to create prosperity opportunities and resolve conflicts in peaceful means, as opposed to the narrative that pushes for hatred and violence.

We had an incredibly talented group of 10 year old’s from Millennium Primary School that left the entire room silenced with awe. They presented their visions of peace for the world in the most impressive and articulate way”.
— Younes El-Ghazi, CEO and Founder, Global Diplomatic Forum
